The partner model
Partners sell services around a vendor-sold licence
Oracle's partner network has separate tracks for building, selling and servicing, and its partner credentials cover each pillar of the suite: ERP, planning, supply chain and manufacturing, HR and customer experience. Reselling Oracle cloud requires a specific sell certification, so most partner sales leaders here sell implementation, migration and managed services around a licence Oracle sells.
The market
Enterprise and upper mid-market organisations. Oracle says many clients start with one function, such as finance or HR, and expand across the suite later, so the buyer can be the CFO, the CHRO, the supply chain leader or the head of sales and service.
What a partner sales leader sells
- Implementation programmes across ERP, planning, supply chain, HR and customer experience
- Migrations from E-Business Suite, JD Edwards and PeopleSoft
- Expansion into new parts of the suite for existing clients
- Managed services and application support
Why partners are hiring now
Oracle's large base of E-Business Suite, JD Edwards and PeopleSoft clients is moving to Fusion, and Fusion Cloud ERP has been growing faster than NetSuite. Each move is a services programme that a partner has to win, and a client that starts with finance is a future HR or supply chain deal.
Who we look for
Client partners and services sales leaders from Oracle integrators across finance, HR and customer experience, Oracle account executives who want to sell services, and sales leaders from SAP and Workday partners.
